After busking on the street & selling his cassette tape, John saved enough pennies to get into the studio to release his first official CD. Self titled, this album was the start of JBT the band after John recruited Jason McGann on drums and Gavin Shoesmith on Bass to help fill out the sound on some of the songs. Half solo and half with the band, 'John Butler' is as good today as the day it was released with timeless songs like Valley and Colours, still staple features in their live set, listening to this CD it's easy to understand why JBT have reached the level of ever growing success they currently have and deserve today. MGM. 2005.
