The singles he recorded for various labels of the era are highly coveted in early rock n' roll and teen pop collectors' circles. Though he is not as well-known as his contemporaries like Dion, Bobby Rydell or Paul Anka, Monte certainly made his mark and deserves wider recognition for his contributions to the genre.
