This limited edition reissue features some of jazz music's most adventurous improvisational players: saxophonist Roscoe Mitchell, pianist Muhal Richard Abrams, trombonist George Lewis and guitarist Spencer Barefield. Recorded in concert at a Space in October 1975, the assembly of the group looks to both the roots and branches of Chicago's Association for the Advancement of Creative Musicians, and features the movement's founder, Muhal Richard Abrams, mentor to Mitchell and a generation of Chicago Musicians.
