More Info:
This CD features works by American composers that are, in the words of Clarinet Soloist Sharon Kam, 'classical, Jazz, and everything in between'. The Copland clarinet concerto, first performed by Kam in 1992 has become her signature piece, having performed it in concert as often as she has the Mozart Concerto. The 4 Gershwin songs were arranged especially for this recording by veteran arranger John Cameron. Kam is accompanied by the London Symphony Orchestra on this recording.
