2017 release. Lower East Side emcee/producer, Fokis released his lon- awaited sophomore album Underground With Commercial Appeal this past August. The album, which features Guilty Simpson, Skyzoo, Torae, Chi- Ali, Sadat X, Cortez, Punchline and more, is a perfectly crafted fusion of underground and commercial music. Production duties were handled by Man Meets Machine (Jiv Poss) who also produced "You're Nobody Till Somebody Kills You" (The Notorious B.I.G.), Relavant Beats, Mr. West, The Manorail, Fokis amongst others. The project was originally scheduled for release on 7/21 but was pushed back due to him not reaching his goal weight. For the last two years, Fokis has been on a fitness mission doing Crossfit and has dropped over 87 lbs, his goal was to be at 199 by 7/21. "I feel like a brand new artist, I am totally re-inspired to create music and super excited to release this project. This album is very honest and personal to me, it is a reflection of everyday life, the highs, the lows the good the bad and everything else in between.
