Record Store Day 2025 at Down In The Valley - Complete Event Details

Our doors will open at 9am at both Golden Valley and Maple Grove
Record Store Day is a celebration of brick-and-mortar, independently-owned record stores in the US and around the world, like Down In The Valley. The RSD releases are limited in quantity and are sold on a first-come, first-served basis. Sorry, no pre-orders, holds, or online sale the day of RSD. Because quantities are limited, you will encounter lines of people waiting to purchase their titles. Don't worry, this is part of the festive nature of RSD and we've had many groups who have become friends over the years that met in line at Record Store Day!
The Line: The first event was held in 2008 adn 17 years later we still use the same basic principles to run our event. We want everyone to walk away having a great experience and send you hoome with as many RSD titles as possible. We limit some things so that we give everyone a chance to have the opportunity to get a majority of what is on your list. You might see these details and think, "you are going to limit me?" Yes, and every year we are lauded about the event we host and the controlled environment in which we do it. Trust us and trust folks who come back year after year. (Bathrooms? GV has a Biffy and MG has a holiday across the parking lot. Please hold spots in line for folks to relieve themselves)
-We will sell you one copy of any RSD title. Meaning, you cannot buy two copies of the same album.
-We run our line in an orderly fashion, this is not a free-for-all situation. You will have your list of titles ready when you get to the table and we will pull them for you. You can go through our line as many times as you'd like to grab additioinal titles you didn't get the first time around. (*again, no multiples of the same title)
-Our VIP RECORD CLUB MEMBERS will be alloted 8 picks each time through the line, NON-VIP MEMBERS 6 picks. In additon, VIP RECORD CLUB MEMBERS receive their $1/off discount on RSD titles (excludes 7"). Visit a store to learn more about our club and to join prior to the event. VIP RECORD CLUB MEMBERS must be active for full member picks. Please have your titles ready to go when you get to the table so the line moves swiftly. *NO PROXY PICKS. You cannot bring your friend or child in line with you to get additional picks.
Our RSD stock will vary between our 2 locations The best way to say it is... Golden Valley will have the most stock but longer lines and Maple Grove has shorter lines but less titles and copies. We send out an email the night before the event to disclose which titles will be stocked at each location. If you are not a VIP MEMBER, please go to our website and 'join our mailing list' so that you will be sent the email along with other members.
We've ordered 99% of all the RSD titles offered this year and will also stock some unofficial and import RSD titles (UK & Japan). We will list those in the RSD email as well.
